Christ - Our Righteousness
Written by: Wes Plaisance

Have you ever wondered what it must have been like for Jesus to die on the cross?  Not so much the pain, embarrassment, humiliation, etc… but to be made sin.  Before we were Christians, sin separated us from God.  Jesus who has always experienced a perfect relationship with the Father chose to become our sin and die on the cross.  He did this knowing that He would experience the worst experience... separation from the Father.  Can you even begin to image what the reunion between the Father and the Son must have been like?  It must have been the best reunion of all times.  When we accepted Jesus into our lives we had the same reunion as Jesus had with the Father.  Jesus became sin on our behalf, so that we might become His righteousness.  By becoming His righteousness we are in perfect union with the Father through Jesus.  Nothing can ever change that.

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin
on our behalf, so that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him."
2 Corinthians 5:21
