The Date

The tickets are booked!  July 15 is the official leaving date.  I feel like someone just pulled the trigger on the race line.  It was a little overwhelming and crazy trying to figure out the best, yet cheapest way to travel to Thailand.  Lots of browsing and comparing of travel websites.  Finally, I gave a cry of help to the world of Facebook with tremendous results.  A friend put us in contact with High Point and they have been wonderful.   I highly recommend them!  They were able to get us a great deal.  I had just assumed that we would travel west and have a layover somewhere in Asia, before hitting Thailand, but our tickets take us east with a layover in London!  The kids (and I) are really thrilled with the prospect of just flying over London, much more getting to spend some time there.  So, we have 11 and 1/2 hours of daylight to frantically spend soaking up the highlights of London!  We are open to hearing suggestions on what we shouldn’t miss seeing!

It has been encouraging seeing God’s provision throughout this whole process.  We are definitely in a pressure cooker at this moment, but we are continually being reminded to look to Him.  One example of this is the state of our vehicle.  Our car was our last worldly assest of any worth.  As I wrote last time,  it was of the mind to take a vacation from working after we arrived back in town.  We have now heard back from the mechanic and as I understand and can communicate (since I know nothing about cars) we have cracked heads.  That sounds like something Wes would threaten the children with.  Ha! But alas, cracked heads, I hear, is a serious condition dealing with the whole top half of the engine.  However, God has provided a way to receive the parts slightly over cost and the manpower at a greatly reduced price.  No matter what scrape we seem to be getting ourselves into He has provided grace upon grace.  Which leds into the story of the toilet overflowing…  no seriously, that has happened twice.  So many things to distract us!  Like me getting sick this week, our printer/scanner breaking, and so on.

Well, I’m off to check online prices of luggage.  Those are crazy prices…

Re: Luggage. Have y’all tried Marshall’s or TJMaxx or Ross? I see they stock it often and it appears to have fairly inexpensive prices on them! That being said, I’m not entirely sure what you’re looking for specifically.

  2. Seems like the enemy was fighting you tooth and nail to keep you out of going to Thailand? I will SURELY miss you, WAY more than you may know! Love you SO much! Tony
