Spring Time

Spring is just peeking its head around the corner here in Dallas.  One sign was the delightfully pointless “Spring Forward” time change.  Another sign is the first buds and blooms on the trees signaling the allergies to create havoc in my body.  (To be honest, I have been blaming allergies but I think I actually have a cold.)  And lastly our apartment has finally decided to turn the central unit to A/C.  Glory Hallelujah, because it has been hot up in here!

Boy, I sound somewhat cantankerous about Spring.  This season in our life has actually been quite exciting.  We have seen new buds and blooms happening in the spiritual lives of people around us.  Yet, we are also experiencing the accompanying trials that strive to distract and discourage us.

One fun event of our Spring is that we serve at Father Teen Ranch Weekend.  We team up to co-led a group of teen girls (me) and their dads/father figures (Wes).  It has been richly rewarding in the past to watch the bonding and reconciliation that the Lord can bring over the weekend.  We feel privileged that we can participate and would love to have you participate also by praying for us and our group!

I thank the Lord for you all!  May you continue in your journey to know Him more and more!

For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
Ephesians 1:15-17
