“For apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
That sums us up fairly well. Jesus is the Life from which we live every moment of every day.
Founded in 2003, Nothing Without Jesus is a non-profit organization committed to leading people to experience the life of Jesus Christ by directing them to a relationship with Him. In order for us to truly experience the life of Christ we believe that we must first come to a place of realizing that we are nothing without Him. He is the Source of Life. Life cannot be lived without our receiving, trusting, and depending upon His grace. The next truth needed to experience the life of Christ is realizing that with Him we are everything. The Source of Life living within and through us makes all things possible.
We faithfully serve Him wherever that takes us and whoever He leads us to. We have walked alongside individuals and small groups doing discipleship, Bible studies, marriage counseling, and even some mixed martial arts. Overall, we want to share how we can do all things through Him who strengths us. (Philippians 4:13)
Mission Statement:
To express the life of Christ,
Through discipleship and teaching,
So that others may know and experience His life.
Statement of Belief
We believe that God’s word teaches:
1. Verbal inspiration of the Bible
We believe the holy bible to be verbally inspired of God in the original manuscripts; infallible, inerrant and God-breathed, a perfect rule of faith and practice.
2. The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons Father, Son, and Spirit.
3. The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that God, the Son, who has always existed, became a man (without diminishing his deity) by virgin birth through Mary. He lived a sinless life and as the infinite God-man took upon himself the sins of all men, died in their place and satisfied God concerning their sins. We further believe in the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He was then ascended and exalted to the right hand of God as the great high priest of all believers.
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. His present ministry to believers also includes empowering, teaching, and leading into all truth.
5. Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved and, of himself, is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
6. Fire
We believe that if you touch fire, thou shalt be burned.
7. Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace (apart from any works) and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins. upon receiving salvation, the person receives eternal life, and becomes a partaker of Christ’s life. He becomes a new creation and obtains a new identity as a child of God.
8. Sanctification
Each believer partaking of eternal life (Christ’s life) was united with Christ and thus was spiritually crucified, buried, raised and enthroned with Christ. The old man died at this point in time. The results of co-crucifixion must become an experiential reality to each believer as he chooses to walk in the spirit and not after the flesh if he is to walk in victory. Sanctification, then, is Christ living his life out through the believer. This is not teaching passivity, sinless perfection or the deification of man.
Got it. Short and sweet. Seems that you two have been living up to that name quite well ever since founding it.
My, how your children have grown up and so beautifully!
Yours, Jerry
Thank you, Jerry!
